Our History

Al Muhajreen Mosque has been an integral part of the Houston community since its inception. Our doors first opened in 2021, and from that moment, we have been dedicated to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for individuals and families seeking a deeper connection to their faith.

Established with the purpose of providing Islamic education to students from diverse backgrounds, including Arabs and Africans living in Houston, who face challenges finding educational institutions. Currently serving 80+ students, we offer a hassle-free experience with free pick-and-drop services, a unique offering in Houston. Our focus on girls’ education is emphasized through planned Aalima courses.

Our Mission

At Al Muhajreen, our mission is to foster unity, understanding, and compassion within our community. We aim to provide a supportive space for individuals from all walks of life, irrespective of age, background, or experience, to come together, learn, and grow in their Islamic journey.

Al Muhajreen is dedicated to furthering its impact by planning to purchase land to build a permanent mosque in Houston, transitioning from our current rental property.
