Al Muhajreen

Al Muhajreen ICC
Winter Drive for Marginalized Communities in Balochistan.

In the harsh winter months, countless individuals face the biting cold with little to protect themselves. Al Muhajreen ICC in collaboration with the Wish Foundation organized Winter Drive, which is dedicated to supporting marginalized communities in Balochistan during the coldest months. This heartfelt project has touched countless lives, providing essential winter supplies and financial aid to those who need it most.

When the cold winds blow, and warmth becomes a luxury, we step in to make a difference. With unwavering commitment, we provide essential winter clothing, warm blankets, jackets, and even cash donations to those in need, including the poor, disabled, and orphaned. In that effort, we aim to ease the hardships of people and families who are underprivileged and face winter with dignity and comfort.

What Makes the Winter Drive Special?

This is more than a project, it’s a movement of compassion, unity, and care. Our Winter Drive has turned into a symbol of hope and ensured that vulnerable communities are supported and valued. We take pride in the impact we have made in reaching the most remote and underserved areas of Balochistan, bringing smiles to faces that often go unnoticed.

Winter Drive:

Frequently Asked Questions

Are you supposed to donate during Ramadan?

Yes, donating during Ramadan is highly encouraged in Islam. The Holy Quran emphasizes the connection between prayer and charity, stating in Quran 2:110, “And establish prayer and give zakat, and whatever good you put forward for yourselves, you will find it with Allah. Indeed Allah, of what you do, is Seeing.”

While charity can be given throughout the year, Ramadan holds special importance. Al Muhajreen Mosque in Houston, Texas, is a trusted organization that ensures all charity and donations are handled in accordance with Islamic principles, maintaining dignity for recipients and adhering to domestic regulations.

n Ramadan, various essential donations are made, including Zakat (mandatory wealth-based charity), Sadaqa (voluntary acts of kindness), Fidyah (compensation for missed fasts), and Khairat (acts of goodwill). These contributions hold unique benefits and collectively demonstrate a commitment to helping those in need.
The recommended donation during Ramadan varies based on individual circumstances. For Zakat, it is advised to give 2.5% of one’s wealth or 1/40th during this sacred month. If someone is not eligible for Zakat, they can still contribute any amount of money. Additionally, even if Zakat has already been given, individuals can offer Sadaqah of any amount, either in money or equivalent to Zakat.
